Plasma Fibroblast: Non-Surgical Skin Tightening
The Science Behind Ageing Skin
As we age, our skin naturally loses its elasticity and firmness due to a decrease in collagen and elastin production. This leads to the development of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, and other signs of ageing. While there are numerous treatments available to address these concerns, many require invasive procedures, long recovery times, or synthetic fillers and injections.
What is Plasma Fibroblast?
Plasma Fibroblast technology works by using a pen-like device that emits a tiny electrical arc, also known as a plasma flash, onto the surface of the skin. This flash creates controlled micro-injuries in the targeted area, which stimulates the body’s natural healing process. The fibroblasts (cells responsible for producing collagen) are activated, leading to increased collagen production and tissue regeneration.
This process tightens and lifts the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and other signs of ageing. The treatment is highly precise, making it suitable for delicate areas such as the eyelids, around the mouth, and even the neck.
What Areas Can Be Treated with Plasma Fibroblast?
Plasma Fibroblast is incredibly versatile and can be used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including:
Hooded or Crepey Eyelids: Used to treat loose or hooded skin around the eyes and on the upper eyelids.
Crow’s Feet and Forehead Lines: Used to treat fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes and on the forehead.
Lines Around the Mouth: Used to treat lines around the lips and mouth.
Neck and Jawline: Used to treat loose skin on the neck and along the jawline.
Stretch Marks and Scars: Used to treat the appearance of stretch marks and scars.
Body Skin Tightening: Used to treat loose skin on areas such as, but not limited to, the arms, elbows, knees and stomach.

What to Expect During and After Treatment
A typical Plasma Fibroblast treatment begins with a thorough consultation to assess your skin and discuss your aesthetic goals. During the procedure, the targeted areas are numbed with a topical anesthetic to ensure your comfort.
The treatment itself is relatively quick, typically taking 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Following the procedure, you will experience some redness, swelling, and small scabs or dots in the treated area. These effects are temporary and usually subside within a week, revealing smoother, tighter skin.
See our Plasma Fibroblast pre and post care guide for how to prepare and what to expect while you heal.
What’s Involved
Non-surgical: no incisions or stitches.
Works with your own healing: the treatment triggers your skin’s natural repair and collagen process over the following weeks.
Healing time: expect redness, swelling and small carbon dots for around a week. Most people return to their normal activities within about 4 days.
Versatile: can be used on many areas of the face and body.
Your skin heals over the following weeks, and changes keep developing as new collagen forms. Near-final results are usually seen around weeks 8 to 12. Some people are happy after one treatment, while others choose to have more. If a repeat treatment is recommended, it can be done from week 12. Results vary from person to person. A consultation is needed to check suitability.

Fusion8 Plasma: Skin Tightening and Resurfacing
What is Fusion8 Plasma?
Fusion8 Plasma is a non-ablative plasma treatment, which means it doesn’t remove the top layer of skin. It delivers controlled plasma energy to the skin in tiny pulses, which triggers your skin’s natural healing response and the growth of new collagen.
How can Fusion8 help my skin?
Warm plasma is used to support your skin’s own collagen production, and to treat concerns such as fine lines, sun damage, uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
Cold plasma settings can also be used on congested or blemish-prone skin, and to help your skincare products absorb during treatment.
Plasma technology instantly activates the epidermal cells of the skin with high amounts of energy, which increases the skin’s hydrophilicity - in other words, the ability to absorb water. This means water-soluble, low molecular weight substances such as vitamins and various peptides are more likely to be absorbed through the skin. Results vary from person to person. A consultation is needed to check suitability.
What Can Be Treated with Fusion 8?
Fusion 8 is incredibly versatile and can be used to treat a variety of skin concerns, including:
Congested and acne-prone skin: used to calm congestion and the look of redness and scarring.
Redness-prone skin: used to calm the look of redness.
Scarring, Pigmentation and Sunspots: Reducing the appearance.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles: Promoting smoother and more youthful looking skin complexion.
Fusion 8 Modalities
Warm Plasma: skin rejuvenation, tone and texture, fine lines and age spots.
Diamond Plasma: a gentler setting for pores, tone, texture, stretch marks and body areas.
Hyper Plasma: congested skin, pigmentation, and skin tone and texture; also used to help serums absorb.
Derma Plasma Roller and Stamp: creates fine channels in the skin to help products absorb and support collagen, including on scars and stretch marks.
HIFU - High Intensity Focused Ultrasound
What is HIFU?
High Intensity Focused Ultrasound uses its energy to target the layers of skin just below the surface. The ultrasound energy causes the tissue to heat up rapidly. Once the cells in the targeted area reach a certain temperature, they experience cellular disruption. While this may seem counterintuitive, this actually stimulates the cells to produce more collagen — a protein that provides structure to the skin. The aim is to encourage new collagen, which supports firmer-looking skin over time. Because the energy is focused below the surface, the top layer of skin isn’t broken.
HIFU can also be used on the body. See our Fat Reduction & Muscle Strengthening page.
HIFU for the Face and Neck
HIFU delivers precise ultrasound energy at multiple points below the skin of the face or neck, creating small heated zones. These trigger your skin’s natural collagen renewal over time. Results vary from person to person. A consultation is needed to check suitability.
